GLOBAL K4 Challenge 2026
A world-class six-month training and certification programme building Knowledge Management competencies for Sustainable Development aligned with UN Agenda 2030 & UNESCO Knowledge Societies Policy.
The K4D Challenge is offered by the Knowledge for Development Partnership (K4DP), under its School of Knowledge Sciences based in Vienna, Austria.
For the Africa region, the programme is delivered in collaboration with Makerere University Business School (MUBS), Knowledge for Development Centre, Kampala, Uganda.

COMPONENTS
COMPONENT 01 – KM Training
Eight weekly online sessions of 2 hours each, covering KM theory, frameworks, and practical application delivered in two time-zone slots every Wednesday.
COMPONENT 02 – K4D Challenge
Participants develop practical, knowledge-based solutions to real challenges facing their organizations or nations, under supervision of international experts.
COMPONENT 03 – K4D Conference
A global conference on 9 December 2026 where all KM solutions are presented and evaluated before the award of the Certified Knowledge Manager for Sustainable Development.
COMPONENT 04 – KM4D Certification
Successful participants receive the Certified Knowledge Manager for Sustainable Development, recognizing their competencies and commitment to knowledge-driven sustainable development.
